In Osia, Eastern Uganda, we currently support 85 children, allowing them to attend the Kimbilio Primary School. Many children in Uganda have lost their parents because of AIDS or because they have become victims of the civil war. According to tradition, orphan children are cared for by the immediate family in Uganda, but due to poverty and many deceased people within the family, this is often no longer possible. Heart for Children supports a project in Osia, a small village in Eastern Uganda. There, a boarding school is being built where these children can be accommodated. Through good education and a safe home this project aims to give the children a better future. This school also plays an important role in the lives of the local population and strives to provide them with clean drinking water and medical assistance so that their living conditions can be improved.
