Heart for Children sponsors two families in Cloetesville. Rosy is the foster mother of one of families and cares for five children.

Cloetesville is a community that is located just outside Stellenbosch. There is a big difference between rich and poor. For example, a middle-class family has the opportunity to lead a comfortable life while the heavily impoverished families struggle to keep their heads above water. One third of the community has no education and are forced to stay in overcrowded, self-built shacks consisting of corrugated iron. Under these circumstances, the residents are exposed to crime, abuse and a high level of HIV infections - children often end up being rejected, abused and neglected.
