Last September Heart for Children made a call for Nadia. Nadia is a 10-year-old girl who suffers from 'genoa vare', better known as 'o-legs'. Without surgery, Nadia will certainly end up in a wheelchair. Thanks to your financial support, the operation for Nadia could be planned for October.

Just before the operation, the doctors wanted to make a final check for safety. They only discovered at that time that the lung condition of Nadia is not good enough because of asthmatic problems. The four-hour operation poses too much risk for Nadia at the moment and therefore the doctors have decided to postpone the operation for six weeks. Nadia gets medication to first put her lungs in a better condition.

Nadia and her caretakers are very sad about the postponement.
