In November 2008 a start was made with the monthly support of our first fosterfamily in Kayamandi, a township near the large town of Stellenbosch in South Africa. The home where this family lives, is called Zanovuyo, “bringer of love”.

Erna Neuteboom: It is great to see with your own eyes how these abandoned and vulnerable children live in this pretty, renovated house. A house full of happiness with crawling, running, laughing and playing children. Really wonderful! Full of excitement they showed us their own beds. The twins have learned to walk in the few months they have been living here. They are now two and a half years old. It is emotional to see these (traumatized) children play together.
